Prone To Wander, Lord I Feel It...
There's a hymn that I love and it was written a few hundred years ago, yet it describes how I am perfectly. You may have sung "Come Thou Fount Of Every Blessing" in church at some point. It's an amazing song that is as raw and honest as any Alanis Morrisette lyric. The one line that describes the reality of me is this one:
"Prone to wander, Lord, I feel it...prone to leave the God I love"
As much as I want to be passionate about my relationship with God, the reality is I'm so prone to wander from what I know is best...prone to wander from the God that I want to love and serve. I don't want to live this way and still I find myself...wandering.
I just want God to shackle my heart to His and hold me close. He's so faithful and I'm so not.
If you find yourself wandering today, know that God's grace is for you, my friend.

Jeff's Plankeyed Perspective: Where Are The Young Adults, Anyway??
So Intern Joy just moved here and as a single 23-year-old she is DYING to make friends. What she's noticing are a lot of folks over 55. Where to send her...where to go? Is there a place that she could go to meet young adults who are people of faith? Does your church have a dynamice ministry to Young Adults that she might be interested in?
Please let me know so that I can be a good friend and boss and steer her to the right places...
