Switchfoot concert news - Emery

Alright, we have some Switchfoot concert news - but instead of us trying to explain it, we'll let Emery do the explaining.  Here's something they posted just this week on their MySpace Blog:

tour cancellations

hello guys and gals!
we are very sorry to announce that we will not be finishing out our tour schedule in april. we have been out with switchfoot for about a week and were planning to do some headlining shows as well. unfortunately, we have to cut it short for a few reasons, but we promise we will be back out as soon as possible. we are still planning on playing bamboozle, so hopefully we'll see a lot of y'all there.
we will keep everyone updated!

thanks for understanding!
emery

So yeah - bummer.  Be in prayer for the guys in Emery.  I know part of this has to do with some illness going around with the band, so be praying that they get all better and can get back on the road as soon as possible.

Don't worry though - even without Emery, the Switchfoot concert on April 25th will still be awesome.  Get more info about the concert (including how to get tickets) at http://wayj.wayfm.com/community/concerts.php

New Music Tuesday - Paul Wright!

Paulwright Today's featured New Music Tuesday artist is Paul Wright with his newest release "Sunset Cliffs".  Steve Shore is a BIG fan of Paul Wright, so thinks you might enjoy the song.  If you missed it this morning (or would just like to hear it again), you can listen to it at Paul's website - http://www.PaulWright.com  Comment below and let us know what you think of the song!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Also - Steve has some BONUS new music stuff for you to listen to today!  (Apparently, he's feeling generous).  Alan Powell spent much of his life growing up here in Fort Myers, and is now living in Los Angeles pursuing a music career and trying to make a difference in the culture.  You can listen to his first single (which, in Steve's opinion, is great) and find out more about Alan here:  http://www.facebook.com/pages/Alan-Powell/11635055038?

Finally - a clip to download.  During our Be in the Band auditions we had one young child come out who did an amazing job and blew us away.  While she didn't become one of our finalists, we just had to share with you the great job that she did.  Download tara_singing_somewhere_over_the_rainbow.MP3

Carly Smithson=Wonder Woman

Sooooo, my friend Mark apparently has too much time on his hands.  He followed up the Jason Castro-Jar Jar Binks comparison with this one featuring another American Idol:

Carly Wonderwoman

Mark made sure he pointed out that Carly even has the belt and the bracelet.

Coincidence?  I think not!

Let us know what you think by commenting below!

Jason Castro = Jar Jar Binks? You decide!

My friend Mark just sent me an email with the subject line "They Do Look Similar".  Here's what was in the email:

American Idol's Jason Castro DOES indeed look like Jar Jar Binks from Star Wars: Episodes I - III!

Do you agree?  Comment below!

Jeff Got a Cat

Cat_3 Meet Stitches the Cat!

Jeff and his family are very happy to welcome Stitches into their home - who would've ever thought Jeff would fall in love with a little kitty cat!

Isn't she cute?

Also, Jeff talked about this morning how his daughter was a little upset the kitten couldn't sleep in her room with her last night - and left Jeff and his wife a note on her door.   Here's the note:

The Shore's 4D Ultrasound Experience

Posted by Steve Shore:

Tonight Kim (my wife) and I had an awesome experience - we got a 4D Ultrasound done by Miracles Imaging - http://www.MiraclesImaging.com. We have like 20 minutes of video; I made a quick highlights reel to share with you though - because you just have to check it out.
In the highlight video, you can see the baby yawn, see it's fingers, hear it's heartbeat and at the very, very end in 2D, you can view the baby's diaphragm move up and down - which means the baby is learning how to breathe! Cool, huh?! Less than 7 weeks to go!

You can also check out a bunch of the individual pics from the experience at http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=33921&l=29a49&id=592706346
